The United Nations arrangements to make its first air drops of nourishment help in Syria, to Deir al-Zor, an eastern town of 200,000 blockaded by Islamic State aggressors, the seat of a U.N. compassionate team said on Thursday.

He said the WFP planned to gain ground contacting "the destitute individuals inside Deir al-Zor, which is assaulted by Islamic State. That must be finished via air drops," said Egeland.
